I wouldn't say I chose FCS, I would say FCS chose me. I have always loved family, nutrition, child development, relationships, cooling, and hands-on activities, but I never actually thought about becoming an FCS Educator. I started out as a dietetics major in college until one of my advisors told me she saw something in me that made her believe I needed to be an FCS educator, so I trusted her judgement and never looked back. I walked into my student teaching at Lincoln High School five years ago and knew in my heart I was right where I belonged. Now, I can't imagine my life without FCS!
